Boys’ water polo roundup: Corona del Mar easily beats Northwood

Mitchell Cooper scored four goals as the Corona del Mar High boys’ water polo team beat Northwood 18-5 in a Pacific Coast League match Thursday.

Tanner Pulice, Matt Ueberroth and Henry Wilde all had three goals for Corona del Mar (6-2, 1-0 in league). The Sea Kings play host to Huntington Beach in a key nonleague game Monday at 6 p.m.

Estancia 17, Rancho Alamitos 3: Alex Epperson scored eight goals for the Eagles in Thursday’s nonleague game, and Logan Richards added five.

Jake Blinn had three goals for Estancia (6-3).

Fountain Valley 9, Marina 5: Dylan LeBaron scored six goals for the Barons in Wednesday’s Sunset League opener at Newport Harbor High.

Jake Huynen made 12 saves for Fountain Valley (8-9, 1-0 in league).
