Costa Mesa boys’ water polo improves to 2-0

Teak Zachary had three goals as the Costa Mesa High boys’ water polo team won 9-2 at Yorba Linda in a nonleague game Friday.

Gavin Fisher and Augie Cunningham each scored twice for the Mustangs. Joey Palmblade made 12 saves.

Costa Mesa, which killed off 12 of Yorba Linda’s 13 power-play chances, improved to 2-0.
