High School Boys’ Soccer Roundup: Stephenson’s two goals completes Corona del Mar’s comeback win at Los Alamitos

Junior David Stephenson recorded two goals, helping the Corona del Mar High boys’ soccer team open the season with a 4-3 come-from-behind win at Los Alamitos in the Aliso Cup on Monday.

The Sea Kings, who trailed 2-0 early in the first half, rallied to tie it at 3-3.

Kyle Mabwa and Aidan Holmes each had a goal for CdM, while Matt Katz anchored the defense.

The Sea Kings play host to Laguna Hills on Friday at 3:15 p.m.

Fountain Valley 4, Pacifica 0

Senior Jared Loudenback scored two goals in the Barons’ season opener at home on Monday.

Goalkeepers Bryce Nichols and Dylan Sutcliffe-Sprangel combined for four saves in the shutout.

Fountain Valley’s Sebastian Rus and Jackson Ouellette each had a goal.

Next for the Barons is a match at Foothill on Friday at 5 p.m.
