Girls’ Volleyball: Friday results from Dave Mohs Memorial Tournament

Division 1 — Pool 1

Lakewood 2, Laguna Beach 0: Top-seeded Lakewood defeated the Breakers, 25-10, 25-18.

Laguna Beach 2, Orange Lutheran 1: The Breakers rallied to defeat the Lancers from the Trinity League, 23-25, 25-20, 15-8.

Gretchen Webb contributed four kills off the bench in the second set to help the Breakers erase a 13-10 deficit.

Lexi McKeown led the way for Laguna Beach with 12 kills and 14 digs. Soren Patchell added six kills. As a team, the Breakers recorded eight blocks in the match.

Division 1 — Pool 3

Long Beach Poly 2, Sage Hill 1: The Lightning took the first set from the Jackrabbits, but Poly mounted a comeback to win, 20-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Amiyah De’Long starred for Sage Hill with 15 kills and two aces. Sydnee Francis added 12 kills and three aces.

Edison 2, Sage Hill 0: The host Chargers swept the Lightning, 25-19, 25-18.

Over Sage Hill’s two matches on Friday, Jade Blevins provided 46 assists, while libero Lauren Langdale posted 22 digs.
