Los Amigos’ Jesse Molina earns All-Garden Grove League football honors
Senior offensive lineman Jesse Molina is the lone member of the Los Amigos High football team to make the All-Garden Grove League first team.
The Lobos (3-7, 0-5 in league) had senior offensive lineman Eduardo Cortes, senior defensive lineman Kevin Ruiz and junior special teams player Joshua Barriga receive second-team honors.
Los Amigos finished last in the six-team league and missed the CIF Southern Section Division 13 playoffs.
Rancho Alamitos running back Nathan Kanyavong was named the Garden Grove League MVP. Loara quarterback Matt Blackney was the Offensive Player of the Year and Rancho Alamitos linebacker Marcos Magdaleno the Defensive Player of the Year.
Rancho Alamitos’ Kevin Reynosa and Anthony Valdez shared the Lineman of the Year award, while Loara cornerback Jiggy Mendoza was the Back of the Year.
Bolsa Grande’s Jaylen Todd, a wide receiver and strong safety, was the Utility Player of the Year and Rancho Alamitos’ Dayten Zepeda the Special Teams Player of the Year.
