High School Girls’ Soccer Roundup: CdM falls to Rosary at Ocean View tournament
The Corona del Mar High girls’ soccer team lost its opener at the Ocean View Winter Tournament to Rosary, 1-0, on Saturday at Ocean View High.
CdM coach Bryan Middleton said sisters Ava McKenzie (bone bruise in knee) and Alyssa McKenzie (back) both returned to the lineup for the Sea Kings (1-1).
CdM plays host to Yorba Linda on Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. in a nonleague game.
Kingsburg 2, Newport Harbor 1
Nicole Laz scored a header goal off Sofia Velazquez’s corner kick for the Sailors in Saturday’s nonleague game at Newport Harbor High.
Newport Harbor (1-1) plays host to Canyon on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
