Breakdown: Huntington Beach, ranked No. 6 in the CIF Southern Section Division 7 preseason poll, kicks off the season playing host to Anaheim Canyon at Cap Sheue Field … Comanches and the Oilers are both Division 7 teams, and if they make the postseason, they could meet again … Oilers plan to start freshman Jacob Hanlon at quarterback … Comanches are coached by Mike Ogas, an Edison graduate who finished second in the running for the Edison head coaching job in January … Huntington Beach is in its second year under coach Brett Brown, who last year led the program to 4-7 overall and fourth place at 2-3 in the Sunset League, good enough to qualify for the postseason … Canyon is coming off a 4-7 season and a third-place finish in the Crestview League.
