Laguna Beach loses against La Quinta on late touchdown in the fourth
Despite four touchdowns from quarterback Curtis Garrison, the Laguna Beach football team dropped Thursday night’s nonleague contest against host La Quinta 38-34 at Bolsa Grande High.
As reported by the Orange County Register, La Quinta quarterback Michael Nadeau ran in the last of his four touchdowns on the night with 23 seconds remaining to give the Aztecs the victory during their season opener. Laguna Beach dropped to 1-1.
Breakers running back Adam Armstrong did a lot of his damage catching the ball, finishing with 115 receiving yards and a touchdown, according to the Register. Teammate Sean Nolan led the way with 117 yards on six catches, including a score.
Laguna Beach next faces Big Bear on the road at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 9.
