Leigh Steinberg to host agent academy

Sports agent Leigh Steinberg is having his two-day agent boot camp at the Steinberg Sports & Entertainment headquarters in Newport Beach on July 29-30.

The course will be on licensing, scouting, brand building, contract negotiation, community relations and ethics.

Steinberg, who has been in the business for 40 years, has represented the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft eight times, as well as more than 60 first-round picks. Steinberg represents quarterbacks Paxton Lynch and Patrick Mahomes, who went in the first round in the past two drafts.
