Breakdown: Marina (2-2) and Whittier Christian (3-2) can see each other again, if both make the CIF Southern Section Division 12 playoffs … Vikings coach Jeff Turley will be coaching against his great nephew, Commans, who has thrown for 7,991 yards and 76 touchdowns, with only nine interceptions during his three years on varsity … Heralds have won three in a row … Marina, which had a bye week last week, plays its final nonleague game before it kicks off Sunset League action against Fountain Valley on Oct. 6 … Whittier Christian is from the Olympic League.
