Sage Hill boys’ water polo wins first Academy League title

The Sage Hill School boys’ water polo team beat Webb School of Claremont 5-4 on the road Tuesday to clinch the Academy League title.

It’s the first league title in the program’s history, first-year coach Pavle Filipovic said.

Zane Drobenko had four goals and two steals to pace the Lightning (18-8, 3-0 in league). Matteo Merage also scored, and Adam Watson totaled six steals. Miles Wilson made 14 saves.

Sage Hill finishes the regular season with a home game against Kennedy on Thursday.
