Vanguard women’s volleyball takes Biola to the limit before falling in 5

The Vanguard University women’s volleyball team dropped a heartbreaker Wednesday night, losing 25-17, 21-25, 17-25, 26-24, 15-10 against rival Biola University.

Kamelah Noel led the visiting Lions (2-6) with a match-high 17 kills, and Juanae Johnson added 14 kills. Kirstin Trabert had 22 assists, and Kylie Garrett also had 18 assists for Vanguard, which next faces Hope International at 7 p.m. Sept. 9 at home.
