IRVINE — Blake Myers finished in third place in 15 minutes, 14 seconds to help Corona del Mar High win with 43 points at Mason Regional Park Thursday.

Austin Barvin took sixth in 15:24 and Peter Morris was seventh in 15:26, as the Sea Kings, ranked No. 9 in CIF Southern Section Division III, upset Woodbridge, ranked No. 3. The Warriors came in second with 55 points and Beckman was third with 57.

Alex Turner was 13th in 15:57 and Zach Asdourian was 14th in 16:01.

IRVINE — Ashlee Powers finished in third place in 17:55 to help Corona del Mar High finish second with 40 points at Mason Regional Park Thursday.

Kristen Rivera was sixth in 18:08, Shelby Perez came in eighth in 18:16, Ellen Naruse finished ninth in 18:16 for the Sea Kings, ranked No. 3 in CIF Southern Section Division III. Woodbridge, ranked No. 1, won the meet by four points, while Northwood was third with 73.

Megan Zwerling was 14th and Devon Hoppe was 15th, as both came across in 18:31 for CdM.

IRVINE — Ben Zepfel and Emery Molnar scored four goals each for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Thursday.

Hayden Leach added two goals, Ari Marks had one goal and goalie Bruce Bearer made seven saves for CdM (5-4, 2-0 in league).

Sea Kings senior standout Chase Watson did not play, as he was forced to sit out a game for being ejected in the previous game.

HUNTINGTON BEACH – Junior Sophie Evans scored with less than 10 minutes left in the Sunset League game Thursday.

Evans’ shot came off a shot from Madeline Storch. The Sailors (9-2, 2-1 in league) did not allow any shots on goal.

COSTA MESA — Shannon Walthers had 15 kills to help the Mustangs to a 25-20, 25-18, 29-27 Orange Coast League win Thursday.

Alex Krohnfeldt had 13 kills, Amanda Moore had eight kills and Sami Feinstein had 33 assists for Costa Mesa (5-3, 2-0 in league).

SANTA ANA — Lauren Peterson had 10 kills to lead the Eagles to a 25-9, 25-27, 25-22, 25-20 Orange Coast League victory Tuesday.

Gianna Jason had eight kills for Estancia (3-5, 1-1 in league).

CORONA DEL MAR — The Sea Kings swept in doubles to highlight their Pacific Coast League win Thursday at CdM.

Alison Ishii and Lauren Thaxter swept all 18 games at No. 2 doubles for CdM (7-3, 2-0), ranked No. 5 in Division I.

The doubles teams of Kalika Slevcove and Morgan McVey, as well as Piper Bledsoe and Mackenzie Ludlow, also swept, while Lynda Xepoleas and Nini Ugrelidze each won two singles sets.

COSTA MESA — The Mustangs fell to 2-1 in league after the Orange Coast League loss Thursday.

Costa Mesa (6-2) plays at cross-town rival Estancia on Tuesday.
