Two Breakers earn All-CIF
Senior outside hitter Chanel Stewart and junior setter Allison Palmer have been named to the 2010 All-CIF Southern Section Division 1A girls’ volleyball team.
The All-CIF teams for all divisions, selected by the Girls’ Volleyball Coaches’ Selection Committee and presented by the LA84 Foundation, were released Tuesday.
Twelve players were selected to the Division 1A team, headed by Player of the Year Krista Vansant, a senior outside hitter from Redlands East Valley.
Coach of the Year honors went to Marymount Coach Cari Klein.
Orange Coast League champion Laguna Beach reached the semifinal round of the playoffs, where it was eliminated by Marymount, which went on to defeat Redlands East Valley in the Division 1A championship match Nov. 20.
