SAN LUIS OBISPO — Senior Darren Moore had 25 points, eight rebounds and a career-high five steals to pace the visiting Anteaters in the Big West Conference game Saturday.
Eric Wise had 13 points and 12 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.
UCI, which made 27 of 37 free throws to offset 27.6% shooting from the field, is 8-10, 2-3 in the Big West.
Cal Poly is 7-9, 3-2.

IRVINE — Junior Carson Clark had 14 kills and senior Cory Yoder had 13 and hit .722 to lead the host Anteaters in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match Saturday.
No. 7-ranked UCI won, 25-21, 25-22, 25-23, to improve to 3-3, 1-1 in the MPSF.
No. 5-ranked UCSB is 2-2, 0-1.

WOMEN’S TRACK AND FIELD
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — UC Irvine senior Alisha Misiaita won the women’s shot put in the indoor Lobo Open at the University of New Mexico on Saturday.
Misiaita put the shot 49 feet, 6 1/2 inches, more than eight feet better than the runner-up.
UCI’s Ericka Nowell was second in the 400 meters (58.12 seconds), while Golde Ibia (60 hurdles in 8.77 seconds) and Chelsea Schneider (800 in 2:25.52) had third-place finishes.
