NEWPORT BEACH — UC Irvine senior Bryan Harris won the individual title at the 54-hole event completed Tuesday at Big Canyon Country Club.
Harris carded an eagle on the first playoff hole — the 520-yard, par-5 No. 18 — to defeat Nick Delio of Cal State Northridge. Harris drove a 190-yard six-iron from the right rough to within 12 feet, then sank the eagle putt. He overcame a five-shot deficit on Tuesday by shooting 5-under-par 67 for the best round of the day in the 65-player field. He was five-under (211) for 54 holes.
UCI was second in the team standings, finishing four shots behind Arizona.
UCI freshman Allan Jun finished 15th (222), sophomore Jerry Ye was 26th (225) and sophomore Mickey Chan was 28th (226), to lead the Anteaters.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
Westmont 101, Vanguard 95 (3OT)
COSTA MESA — Alex Chapman scored a game-high 30 points for the Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Tuesday night.
Christopher Raybon added 28 points, Taylor Kelly had 11 points and Cameron Khoury added 10 points for Vanguard (5-18, 3-12 in conference).
Blake Bender led Westmont (18-6, 10-5) with 24 points.
Westmont led, 36-34, at halftime. The teams tied, 69-69, at the end of the regulation, and six points each in the first overtime, and nine points each in the second overtime.
Westmont outscored Vanguard, 17-11, in the third overtime and outrebounded the Lions, 55-45.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Westmont 64, Vanguard 60
COSTA MESA — The loss dropped the host Lions into fifth place in the Golden State Athletic Conference, as Westmont broke a 56-56 tie with 53 seconds left and held on Tuesday.
Vanguard was eight of nine from the free-throw line and Westmont made 18 of 26 foul shots as both teams shot 43.1% from the field.
Senior Molly Pfohl was eight for nine from the field on her way to 18 points to lead the Lions (13-8, 9-6 in conference).
Allison Burns added 10 points and eight rebounds for Vanguard.
Westmont is 18-5, 10-5.
