COLORADO SPRINGS — UC Irvine senior Alisha Misiaita won the shot put and Madeline Leduc was second in the triple jump on the final day of the indoor event Saturday.
Misiaita’s mark of 49 feet, 5 1/2 inches topped a 42-competitor field, giving her a third straight meet title this season.
Leduc leaped a personal-best 40-2.
Maggie Newton-Neal was fifth in the 800 meters in 2 minutes, 19.67 seconds.
UCI finished 11th among 25 teams.

STANFORD — Junior opposite Carson Clark had 15 kills to pace the No. 8-ranked Anteaters in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation contest won by the No. 4-ranked Cardinal, 25-18, 20-25, 24-26, 25-20, 15-11, Saturday.
Freshman middle blocker Scott Kevorken had a career-high 13 kills and hit .571 for UCI (6-8, 3-5).
Stanford, including Corona del Mar High product Gus Ellis (four kills, one block and four block assists), is 9-3, 6-3.

Cal Poly SLO 80, UC Irvine 70
SAN LUIS OBISPO — Tayler Champion, starting in place of scoring and rebounding leader Mikah Maly-Karros, had 18 points for the visiting Anteaters in the Big West Conference game Saturday.
Champion had seven rebounds to match Kiara Belen for team-high honors.
Maly-Karros did not play for the second straight game for reasons as yet unknown.
Jade Smith Williams had 14 points and 10 assists, while Jacqueline Marshall had 14 points off the bench for UCI (13-11, 5-7 in conference).
First-place Cal Poly is 14-8, 10-1.

COSTA MESA — The visiting Broncos outhit the Lions, 14-5, to claim the nonconference game Saturday. The scheduled second game of a doubleheader was postponed when a water line broke, flooding the outfield.
Bryson Rahier went two for three with a solo homer and Jacob Domingos went two for four to pace the Lions (4-5).
The Broncos, an NCAA Division II program, are 6-0.

LA JOLLA — The No. 11-ranked Anteaters defeated Maryland, 8-4, then fell to No. 9-ranked San Diego State, 10-8, in tournament play Saturday at UC San Diego.
UCI is 4-2.

IRVINE — Courtney Byron, Kristina Smith, Brooke Schweyer and Hannah Holiday all posted singles wins to lead the host Anteaters in the nonconference match Saturday.
