McLaren scored a team-best 60 goals for Newport Harbor (23-6), despite missing nearly two weeks at the end of the regular season with a rib injury.

She helped the Sailors reach the Division I quarterfinals before they lost to Laguna Beach, which eventually reached the final.

The Southern Section only released first-team honorees, but coaches voted on second and third-team selections as well.

Newport Harbor seniors Catherine Carpenter (bound for Stanford) and goalie Sarah Wilkey (UCLA), as well as CdM senior Maddie Schwartz (San Diego State) and junior Diana Murphy, earned second-team All-CIF honors.

Newport Harbor senior Kailyn Obenauer was a third-team All-CIF honoree.

Carpenter and Obenauer also played for the South team Sunday in the Orange County all-star game, at Ocean View High.

Obenauer scored twice as the South defeated the North, 14-5.

Dos Pueblos senior Kiley Neushul was named Division I Player of the Year after leading the Chargers to their third straight Division I crown.

Dos Pueblos head man Chris Parrish was named Coach of the Year.
