Bradley, Ford picked
Corona del Mar High senior Marcus Bradley received first-team All-CIF Southern Section Division III-AA boys’ basketball honors, making the 6-foot-6 forward the only Newport-Mesa player to make the team.
Bradley, a transfer from Beaumont High, helped the Sea Kings to a split of the Pacific Coast League title and the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
Bradley led the Sea Kings (19-10, 8-2 in league) by averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds per game. He was earned a share of the Pacific Coast League honors.
CdM Coach Ryan Schachter said the University of New Hampshire and Montana State are interested in Bradley.

CdM’s Ford earns All-CIF honors in boys’ soccer
Corona del Mar High senior midfielder Brian Ford made first-team All-CIF Southern Section Division III in boys’ soccer after leading the Sea Kings to the semifinals of the playoffs.
The UC Davis-bound Ford converted two penalty kicks in the postseason for CdM (16-3-7, 6-2-2 in league).
Ford, who was the lone Newport-Mesa player receiving All-CIF honors, finished with 11 goals and five assists.
