COSTA MESA — Zach Chavez (two runs) and Tristen Metcalf both had two hits and two runs batted to help lead the Pirates to a come-from-behind Orange Empire Conference win Friday.
OCC (24-4, 10-3 in conference) trailed, 5-2, after 5 ½ innings. But the Pirates scored two runs in the sixth and two more in the eighth.
Austin Wobrock went three for four with two runs, while Kevin Cho, Chris Carlson and Jordan Beck had two hits each for OCC.
Saddleback is 12-13, 5-8.

SAN DIEGO — Jeremiah Mejia went two for four with three runs batted in and a run scored for the Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Friday.
Kyle Hardman went two for four with two runs and Jerry Pena was two for two for Vanguard (13-16, 9-10 in conference).
Point Loma Nazarene is 15-13, 10-11.

SANTA BARBARA — Carson Clark had 19 kills, three aces and six digs to help the No. 6-ranked Anteaters to a 27=29, 25-18, 25-19, 25-14 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation win Friday.
Cory Yoder had 15 kills and Anthony Spittle had 41 assists for UC I (15-11, 11-8 in the MPSF).
UCSB, ranked No. 8, is 13-11, 10-8.

EL CAJON — Jeff Patton and Troy Tomasello had 16 kills each to lead the Pirates to a 25-19, 21-25, 23-25, 26-24, 16-14 Pacific Coast Conference win Friday.
Danny Baker had 17 digs and James Anderson had 56 assists for OCC (12-2, 8-1 in conference), which moved into a first-place tie with Grossmont in the PCC.

RIVERSIDE — No. 1 singles player Sam Gould led a sweep in singles and doubles for the Anteaters in the Big West Conference match Friday.
Fabian Matthews (No. 2), Ryan Cheung (No. 3), Steven Henderson (No. 4), Shan Sondhu (No. 5) and Ryan Mayer (No. 6) also won in singles for UCI (10-5, 2-0 in conference).
UCR is 2-15, 0-3.
