NEWPORT BEACH — Cody Caldwell had 15 kills and two blocks to help the Sailors to a 25-9, 25-20, 25-13 Sunset League win Friday.

Rusty Sary had eight kills and two aces, while Ian Sequeira added 25 assists, three kills and two blocks for Newport Harbor (11-6, 2-0 in league), ranked No. 8 in the CIF Southern Section Division I coaches’ poll.

The Sailors play host to Edison Tuesday at 5:45 p.m.

IRVINE — Parker Brown had 16 kills to help the Sea Kings to a 25-18, 25-21, 25-16 Pacific Coast League win Friday.

Evan Dean had seven kills and Joe Ctvrtlik had 26 assists for CdM (13-2, 2-0 in league), ranked No. 1 in the CIF Southern Section Division II coaches’ poll.

The Sea Kings play host to Woodbridge Tuesday at 5:15 p.m.

NEWPORT COAST — Randall Mycorn had five kills, two aces and two blocks to help the Lightning to a 27-25, 25-18, 25-20 Academy League win Friday.

Cole Kirby had eight kills and four aces, while Chris Zadra had eight kills and two aces for Sage Hill (5-11, 2-1 in league).

COSTA MESA — Madeline Storch (one assist) and Amanda Olevsky scored three goals each for the Sailors in the nonleague game at Harper Elementary School Friday.

Stephanie Storch (two goals, one assist), Sierra Michaelsen (four assists, one goal) and Chelsie Delameter (one goal, one assist) also contributed for Newport Harbor.

IRVINE — Hunter Molnar scored six goals and Jack Ortlieb had four goals for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Friday.

Michael Keasey (two goals, three assists), Chase McElroy (one goal), Connor Canale (one goal), Michael Ortlieb (nine saves) and Andree Busto (eight saves) also contributed for CdM (6-1, 4-0 in league).

The Sea Kings play at Beckman Monday at 3:15 p.m.

GARDEN GROVE — Matt Thome and Conner Graham won two events each for the Eagles in the nonleague meet Friday.

Thome won the 100-yard butterfly (1 minute, 2.59 seconds) and 50 freestyle (24.49). Graham won the 100 free (54.65) and 100 breaststroke (1:11.52).

Asher Twardowski won the 200 individual medley in 2:22.58 for Estancia (1-6).
