COSTA MESA — Paige Halberg scored 17 points to lead seven Lions in double figures in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Tuesday at the Pit.
Esther Timmermans had 14 points and Chelsea Alfafara scored 13 points, while Allison Burns and Leigha Bednar added 12 points each for No. 10-ranked Vanguard (14-3, 8-1 in conference), which led, 56-16, at the half.
Taylor Belmont had 11 points and 11 assists and Jordanna Smith had 10 points and 12 rebounds.
The Lions outrebounded Hope, 58-25.
Hope is 4-17, 1-8.

COSTA MESA — Christopher Kupets scored a game-high 22 points to go with four steals for the Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Tuesday.
Christopher Raybon had 15 points and nine assists and Cameron Nettles scored 15 points for Vanguard (13-7, 5-4 in conference).
Hope is 9-7, 2-7.
