A special game was set up against Vineyard Christian of Anaheim. Vineyard also won its league with an impressive undefeated record. The new game was to determine possibly the top team in Orange County.

CdM came out on top, 76-50.

CdM used its smothering pressure defense and teamwork on offense to jump to a quick 11- 2 lead. However, capitalizing on CdM foul trouble, Vineyard Christian was able to bring the game closer in the second quarter.

The second half have featured CdM’s full court press, half-court trap and explosive fast break, which proved to be too much as they outscored Vineyard Christian, 24-4, in the third quarter and eventually won the highly anticipated contest.

The team was led by Garrett White, Sam Kobrine, Matt Ctvrlik, Karl Donovan, Nick Premer and Tommy Winkle. Strong contributions were added by Ben Brooks, Danill Cheadle, Brian Chelf, Jordan Hauser, Roman Hays, Kevin McCarthy and Ford Secrist.
