Lasers top Breakers in overtime
SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Orange County Breakers’ fell Monday to host Springfield, 20-17, in overtime.
The Breakers (2-3) fell behind 10-2 after mixed doubles and women’s singles but won the next three sets. John-Patrick Smith defeated Amir Weintraub, 5-4, in men’s singles, and Lindsay Davenport and Anna-Lena Groenefeld topped Timia Babos and Maria Sanchez, 5-2, in women’s doubles. Smith and Travis Parrott beat Devin Britton and Weintraub, 5-3, in men’s doubles to send the match to OT, but Britton and Weintraub won the first overtime game to end it.
Springfield is 1-6.
