ORANGE — Jorge Sanchez and Brandon Brennan each had two goals and an assist for the Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference game Friday.
Baji Chela added a goal and three assists and goaie Connor Nelson made three saves in his shutout for OCC (8-3-3, 4-2-2 in conference).
The Pirates return to action on Tuesday at home against Norco College at 3 p.m.

COSTA MESA — Sara Gomez had two goals and an assist for the Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference game Friday.
Emma Pridmore and Sarah MacArthur scored a goal each, while Jessica Amaral had an assist for OCC (12-3, 8-3 in conference).
The Pirates return to action on Tuesday at Santa Ana College at 3 p.m.

FULLERTON — UC Irvine finished third of 11 teams at Cal State Fullerton Friday.
UCI finished with a total of 73 points as San Diego State won the meet with 52 points and UCLA was second with 70.
UCI’s Camille Maron led the Anteaters with a 13th-place finish in the field of 126 runners with a time of 18 minutes, 24.3 seconds over 5,000 meters. Teammate Courtney Wilson followed in 14th place in 18:26.4 as Marianne Hogan of San Diego State won the race in 17:35.3.
UCI’s Samia Sailinuu placed 18th in 18:30.9, Katherine Kass was 34th in 18:57.6 and Maggie Newton-Neal was 38th in 19:01.9 to complete the team’s top five.
The Anteaters travel to Riverside for the Big West Conference Championship at the UCR Agricultural Operations Course Oct. 27.

Titan Invitational
FULLERTON — Blake Wanser was the top UC Irvine runner at Cal State Fullerton Friday.
Wanser finished 38th with a time of 26:00.5 over the 8,000-meter course. Forest Braden, running unattached, placed first in 24:06.7.
UCI’s Calvin Tan was 61st (27:00.5) as the ‘Eaters finished fifth with 112 points. Mesa (Ariz.) College won the team title with 47 points.
