IRVINE — Dayanara Armenta scored a game-high 23 points for the Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference game Friday.

Jenna Arnett added 10 points and Michelle Angel had eight points and seven rebounds for OCC (9-10, 0-3 in conference).

The Lasers’ Amber Wharton hit the game-winner with 0.3 seconds left. She nailed a short jumper in the lane after retrieving a loose ball from her missed shot that was batted out.

IVC is 14-7, 3-0.

Irvine Valley 66, Orange Coast 62

IRVINE — Jordan Pellum and Jo Jo Trinidad scored 12 points each for the Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference game Friday.

Spencer Poston had 11 points and seven rebounds and Marquis Ransom had 10 points and six rebounds for OCC (9-9, 0-3 in conference).

IVC is 10-7, 2-1.
