Women’s Water Polo: Baldoni named MPSF Player of the Week

Stanford University senior Kate Baldoni, a product of Corona del Mar High, has been named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week in women’s water polo.

Baldoni, a goalkeeper, had seven saves to help the No. 2-ranked Cardinal top No. 4-ranked UCLA, 8-1, on Saturday. The win clinched a No. 2 seed in the MPSF tournament, April 26-28 in Berkeley.

Baldoni’s goals-against average is 4.28 per game.
