Orange Coast College def. Palomar
Jim Webb finished with 13 kills in the Pirates’ 25-16, 25-17, 25-15 sweep in an Pacific Coast Conference match at home on Friday, helping them improve to 10-0 overall.
Ty Hutchins had eight kills and Nic Amado added seven kills for OCC, which is 3-0 in conference play.
The Pirates travel to Grossmont on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

UC Irvine 78, Cal State Fullerton 72
Seniors dominated on Senior Night on Thursday for the host Anteaters, who moved in position to potentially finish fourth in the Big West Conference with a win in the regular-season finale on Saturday at UC Davis.
Senior Camille Buckley had 19 points and 24 rebounds for her 16th double-double of the season, making nine of 11 field-goal attempts.
Senior guard Jennifer Tsurumoto made eight of eigth foul shots in the final 43 seconds to help UCI (15-14, 8-7 in conference) hold off the Titans (11-17, 7-8). Tsurumoto had a team-best 20 points and added a career-high seven assists.
Senior Kelly Meggs had 18 points, all on a career-best six three-pointers, and senior Jasmine Bernard had 13 points for the winners.
UCI enters Saturday one game behind fourth-place UC Davis. A win would give UCI a tie for fourth and the No. 4 seed in the Big West Tournament, by virtue of a series sweep of the Aggies. Saturday’s game is at 2 p.m.

Ventura 103, Orange Coast 63
Sophomore Chanelle DiCroce led the visiting Pirates with 16 points in the second round of the Southern California Regional playoffs on Wednesday at Ventura College.
OCC, the No. 9 seed, finishes the season 19-11.
Top-seeded Ventura is 29-3.
DiCroce had a team-best six rebounds and she did not have a turnovers.
Freshman Jasmine Matar had 15 points, while sophomore Raechelle Davis had 14 points and made seven of 13 field-goal attempts.
OCC lost the rebounding battle, 56-26, but had only seven turnovers, two fewer than Ventura, which shot 55.3% from the field.
