Man arrested for DUI after crashing into house

A Costa Mesa man was arrested after reportedly crashing his vehicle into a home early Friday morning in the 1500 block of Glenneyre Street.

After police receive a report of the crash at 12:43 a.m., Cameron Tyler Bigelow, 18, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. Both he and his male passenger were transported to Mission Hospital Mission Viejo with moderate injuries.

Bigelow had a laceration on the back of his head, and staples were required to close the wound. He also had a laceration on his right knee that required stapling and suffered a sprained neck and back.

The passenger reportedly sustained a broken right leg, sprained neck and back ,and severe trauma to his right eyeball, according to Laguna Beach police Sgt. Louise Callus.

The home had damage to its patio, entranceway and a corner of its exterior, according to police. The damages are estimated at $3,000.
