MetroPark to close its doors nationwide

Men’s and women’s apparel company MetroPark announced the closure of all its locations, including two located in Orange County, according to a company news release.

Santa Ana, Irvine and 67 other store locations nationwide announced store closing sales last week, which will continue until all merchandise is sold.

Merchandise includes brand name apparel and accessory designers such as True Religion, Diesel, Rock & Republic, BCBG, G-Star, Obey, and 7-Diamonds. In addition, the store’s DJ equipment and flat screen televisions will also be sold.

“Our customers have shown us great loyalty over the years,” Cynthia Harriss, chief executive of MetroPark USA Inc., said in a prepared statement. “These designer brands are rarely discounted, we hope our customers take advantage of these incredible savings.”

Gordon Brothers Group and Hilco Merchant Resources have taken the lead in the store closings, according to the news release.
