Pet of the Week: Peanut

Peanut arrived as a stray this month in her stylish white and brindle coat. She is thought to be a rat terrier mix of about 7 months, and she weighs less than 10 pounds.

Her inquisitive personality helped her adjust to new circumstances, where she instantly bonded with Rey, a Chihuahua/dachshund mix, and they play for hours together. Unlike their Jack Russell cousins, rat terriers possess calmer and more social personalities. They still love activity, but are also happy as couch companions.

Peanut is eager for walks, likes to be held and displays a delightful attitude. She would especially enjoy having a sibling with whom to frolic around the house.
