Charity fundraiser

The 12th annual Taggart Family Grand Stand, presented by Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, will feature face-painting, balloon animals, cookies, carousel rides and more. The event is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Irvine Spectrum Center, 71 Irvine Spectrum Center Drive. Funds support research programs and organizations fighting childhood cancer. 48th annual Costa Mesa Speedway

Orange County Rose Show & Contest

The Orange County Rose Society will present its annual Bounty of Roses show featuring hundreds of blooms entered into competition by some of the top gardeners in the U.S. The event is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Roger’s Gardens, 2301 San Joaquin Hills Road, Corona del Mar. Royal Swedish Ballet
