Costa Mesa launches online city news site

The city of Costa Mesa has launched a new blog that city officials say is “intended to be a source of news and events happening at City Hall and around the town.”

The website, Costa Mesa Connected, includes a community calendar that users can submit events to. There also is a feature called “Ask City Hall,” which provides official answers on current issues and video links to the “Costa Mesa Minute” broadcast.

The site can be found at cityofcostamesanews.com.

The name is similar to the city’s smartphone app, Costa Mesa Connect, which enables users to access city services.
