Musicians from the Pacific Symphony are ready to perform an eclectic repertoire at the Boathouse Collective in Costa Mesa on Thursday.

The Westside bar and restaurant was chosen for the symphony’s second “Music Mixology” event, in which the musicians are the centerpiece of a music-inspired game show. It will begin at 8 p.m.

Audience members will answer music trivia, and winners can then choose one of 27 songs — classical, rock, pop and more — that the musicians will play on the spot.

The first Music Mixology was held at the 4th Street Market in Santa Ana.

“I think we have an amazing mix of music that will showcase the incredible range and skills of the musicians,” symphony flutist Benjamin Smolen said in a news release. “We’ll be offering selections as varied as Bach, Tchaikovsky, Adele, the Beatles, Coldplay and so many more. I’m hoping that audience members will get a chance to hear our versions of their favorite tunes, as well as discover new gems they may not yet be familiar with.”

The Boathouse Collective is at 1640 Pomona Ave., Costa Mesa.

No tickets are required, but participants are encouraged to arrive early for seating. Dinner reservations can be made by calling (949) 646-3176 or emailing reservations@boathousecollective.com.
