Later, a vehicle exited a garage on Royal Palm and an officer recognized the driver as the suspect, police said. The driver had stolen a vehicle from a home on Royal Palm, police said.

Costa Mesa police boxed in the driver and took the suspect into custody.

No one was injured during the incident, police said.
