Burglars cut their way into a motorcycle shop through the roof

Costa Mesa police are looking for two people who broke into a motorcycle shop early Sunday and sped off with a bike and other merchandise.

Police responded to a burglar alarm just before 4 a.m. at Mach 1 Motorsports, said police Sgt. Matt Selinske.

Police suspect two burglars cut a hole in the roof of the business, at 133 Industrial Way, and rappelled into the shop using a rope, Selinske said.

Once inside, the burglars stole a motorcycle, helmets and jackets. Police did not release an estimate of how much the items are worth.

Descriptions of the people being sought were not available Monday.
