Costa Mesa man arrested after car slams into laundry business
A Costa Mesa man was arrested Saturday morning after a car crashed into a self-service laundry business, police said.
Authorities responded at 10:30 a.m. to reports of a driver hitting the Coin-Op laundry in the 1700 block of Placentia Avenue and then driving away, said police Lt. Greg Scott.
The crash destroyed the front doors and windows of the business and a row of washing machines.
No one was injured.
Police said they found the driver less than a block away.
Manual Munoz-Lopez, 21, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit-and-run, police said.
