Children interested in the junior lifeguard program and track and field can still register in Laguna Beach.

For junior lifeguards, Laguna children ages 8 to 15 have until 5 p.m. Monday to get a $25 discount. After that time, non-Laguna residents may register at full price for weeklong sessions that begin June 26.

Newcomers must pass a swim test at the Laguna Beach community pool at 670 Park Ave., unless they participated last year.
