Save Our Youth honors co-founder Jean Forbath

Jean Forbath, who helped found Save Our Youth, a Costa Mesa-based nonprofit that helps Westside youths, was honored Friday evening at SOY’s Fiesta fundraiser.

The eighth annual event was held at the Halecrest Park Swim and Tennis Club in Costa Mesa.

The Save Our Youth Center was established in 1993 to provide low-income youths with options to gangs and other at-risk lifestyles through mentoring, tutoring and help with college preparedness.
