Dixon plans Newport town hall

Newport Beach Mayor Diane Dixon will discuss city plans for the Fourth of July, the proposed 2016-17 budget and explain how to apply for a city board or committee during a town hall meeting Monday.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet the police Chief Jon Lewis, who was promoted to the job in March.

The town hall will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Marina Park, 1600 West Balboa Blvd.
