Motorcycles thundered through Huntington Beach on Sunday morning to start the second annual Veterans Honor Ride, a 30-mile journey from Huntington’s Pier Plaza to the VA Long Beach Healthcare facility for a visit with wounded and sick veterans and then to American Legion Post 716 in Los Alamitos for live music, drawings and lunch.

The ride, organized by the Greater Los Angeles chapter of the Association of the United States Army in partnership with American Legion Post 716, is intended to pay tribute to veterans of all U.S. armed services and wars.

Proceeds from registration fees will help support the Military & Veterans Resource Center of the Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos.
