A small plane overran a runway while landing at John Wayne Airport on Monday evening and ended up off the end of the strip, according to an airport official.

The Piper Archer set down around 6:20 p.m., airport spokeswoman Rachel Gibson said.

“There was no damage to the aircraft and no injuries,” Gibson said.

The plane was towed to a parking place and airport operations continued without flight delays, according to Gibson.
