Savory Spice Shop will close its Corona del Mar location June 19, according to Orange Coast Magazine.

The shop at 928 Avocado Ave. has operated for more than five years.

Savory Spice will still have a location at the OC Mix in Costa Mesa’s South Coast Collection center.

Mediterranean restaurant opens in South Coast Plaza

Mezzet Mediterranean Cuisine opened Thursday at South Coast Plaza in the Crate & Barrel/Macy’s Home Store wing.

Joseph Dib and Wael Nasser, co-owners of Boubouffe Mediterranean Grille in Long Beach, are the restaurant’s proprietors. Dib also has been the general manager at South Coast Plaza’s Antonello Espresso Cafe for the past 25 years.

Mezzet has a full bar and features modern Mediterranean food, including baba ghanoush and tabouleh, an octopus carpaccio duo, cauliflower hummus and a roasted beet kopita with goat cheese and water spinach.

Entrees range from $10 to $28.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays. Phone reservations are accepted.

Embassy Suites Irvine completes renovation

The Embassy Suites Irvine hotel recently completed a $12-million renovation to its guest suites, event space and atrium, according to a news release.

The 293-room hotel at 2120 Main St., near John Wayne Airport, is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

“Our guests continuously choose us for our premier location, comfortable setting and authentic SoCal guest experience,” General Manager Swietlana Cahill said in a statement. “Now with these wonderful new enhancements and the inviting [Vibrante SoCal Kitchen & Bar] restaurant, we’ll be the go-to Orange County location for business or leisure that is just minutes from the Disneyland Resort, world-class beaches, shopping and dining.”

Newport’s Hager Pacific invests in 4 properties

Newport Beach-based Hager Pacific Properties recently invested $35 million in four properties in California and Wisconsin.

The company acquired a 41,715-square-foot ice cream plant and a 42,988-square-foot milk plant, both in Buena Park, as well as an industrial property in Oakland and a business park in Milwaukee.

“We are pleased with the volume of our recent acquisitions and our team’s ability to capitalize on four strategic opportunities to invest in unique industrial assets with very strong growth potential,” Robert Neal, Hager Pacific Properties’ managing partner, said in a statement.

Chinese company buys Irvine electronics firm

Irvine-based Multi-Fineline Electronix Inc. was recently acquired for $610 million by Suzhou Dongshan Precision Manufacturing Co., based in China.

Multi-Fineline Electronix, based at 8659 Research Drive, makes circuits and other electrical components. It has facilities in China, Taiwan, South Korea and Singapore.

Heritage Yacht Sales purchased by Seacoast Yachts

Heritage Yacht Sales, based in Newport Beach, was recently acquired by Santa Barbara- and Oxnard-based Seacoast Yachts.

The sale amount was not disclosed.

“The partnership fuses seasoned broker talent with cutting-edge technology and digital marketing expertise to forge the largest, most sophisticated yacht brokerage in Southern California,” the companies said in a news release.

Irvine firm acquired by Genstar

Genstar Capital has acquired Irvine-based Infinite RF Holdings Inc., a provider of radio frequency tech components, according to a news release.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Genstar is a private equity firm based in San Francisco.

Alorica acquires Texas company

Alorica Inc., an Irvine-based customer service company, has acquired Expert Global Solutions, a customer service company in Plano, Texas.

The combined company will be called Alorica and will employ 91,000 people in 16 countries, according to the Dallas Business Journal.

Data firm expands to Irvine

CBIG Consulting, a Chicago-based business intelligence and data analytics provider, has expanded to Irvine.

The firm’s office is at 19800 MacArthur Blvd., Suite 300, in the Newport Gateway office complex.

UCI Extension offers real estate boot camp

UC Irvine Extension will present a one-day boot camp called “How to Dominate in Real Estate Sales.”

The class, led by David Mashian, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 25.

Early registration is $95.
