Everything was pink.

More than 100 breast cancer survivors and advocates lined up in bright shirts, tutus, beaded necklaces and hair extensions to create a huge human pink ribbon Thursday at the Newport Beach Civic Center.

The gathering was meant to rally support for the Sept. 25 Race for the Cure, presented by Susan G. Komen Orange County, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

The annual 5K run/walk, to be held in Newport Beach, raises funds for breast cancer treatment, services and education programs.
