Volcom Skate Park reopens after broken water line is repaired

Volcom Skate Park of Costa Mesa reopened Tuesday after a water line ruptured over the weekend, partially filling one of the bowls at the skate park with water.

The 6-inch line – which supplies water to irrigate turf at TeWinkle Park – broke at a rusted coupler connection at some point over the weekend, according to city spokesman Tony Dodero.

The skate park, at 900 Arlington Drive, and an adjacent restroom had to be closed to repair the line, according to Dodero.
