BOYS’ SOCCER

Corona del Mar 3, Woodbridge 1

IRVINE — Blake Munger, Will O’Connor and George Wells each scored a goal for the Sea Kings on the road Thursday, helping them stay in first place in the Pacific Coast League.

The Sea Kings (13-2-1, 5-1-0 in league) play host to Beckman on Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. The Patriots are the only team in league to beat CdM this season.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Estancia 5, Saddleback 0

SANTA ANA — Senior co-captain Emily Rodriguez had a goal and an assist for the Eagles in Thursday’s Orange Coast League road match.

Katarina Freiberger, Delani Guyot, Lauren Kaucher and Isabelle Cruz also scored for Estancia, while Lexi Osso and Taby Smith had assists. Coach Josh Juarez highlighted Cruz as a constant threat on the attack.

Estancia (10-4-3, 4-1-1 in league) plays host to rival Calvary Chapel (5-0-1 in league) in a key match Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Corona del Mar 2, Woodbridge 0

Hailey Neumann and Katharine Caston scored second-half goals for the Sea Kings in Thursday’s Pacific Coast League match at CdM.

Leah Givant had an assist on a corner kick, and Ally Lozano made five saves. Lozano drew the start in place of Kat Hess, who was on a recruiting trip.

CdM (7-6-6, 2-2-2 in league) is alone in fourth place in league, a point behind Beckman and University, which are tied for second place.

CdM plays Beckman on Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. at Irvine’s Great Park.

GIRLS’ WATER POLO

Corona del Mar 14, Woodbridge 1

Jaleh Moaddeli scored four goals for the Sea Kings in Thursday’s Pacific Coast League game at CdM.

Emily Ritner and Chloe Harbilas each had three goals for CdM (11-6, 6-0 in league), ranked No. 6 in CIF Southern Section Division 1. Sarah Lawson scored twice, and Devon Cooper and Sophie Wallace also scored.

CdM plays host to San Marcos, ranked No. 4 in Division 1, in a key nonleague game Friday at 3:15 p.m.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Estancia 58, Saddleback 20

Finley Garnett scored 12 points for the Eagles in Thursday’s Orange Coast League home game.

Estefania Flores had nine points, and Delani Guyot had seven for Estancia (16-6, 6-0 in league).

The Eagles play at Calvary Chapel on Tuesday.

Newport Harbor 42, Fountain Valley 29

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — McKenna Izzi scored 14 points for the Sailors in Thursday’s Sunset League road game.

Angelina Alvarez added 12 for Newport Harbor (5-14, 2-4 in league).

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Corona del Mar 57, Woodbridge 43

Taeveon Le finished with 13 points for the host Sea Kings in a Pacific Coast League game on Thursday.

Matt Ctvrtlik had 12 points for CdM (16-7, 3-3 in league), ranked No. 7 in the CIF Southern Section Division 3A poll.

The Sea Kings play at Beckman on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
