Orange Lutheran edges Newport Harbor

Sarah Barker, Sammie Garcia and Jessica Lynch scored two goals for the Sailors in the nonleague game on Saturday.

Orange Lutheran is ranked No. 1 in CIF Southern Section Division 1. Newport Harbor entered tied for the No. 10 ranking.

Claire Tafoya had one goal for the Sailors, while Lissa Westerman led with two assists and two steals, and Lynch had two steals and one assist.

Maddy Kanzler made seven saves and had two steals for Newport Harbor.

The Sailors next play host to Marina Wednesday at 5 p.m.
