SANTA BARBARA — The No. 12-ranked Anteaters lost for the sixth time in seven matches as the No. 10-ranked Gauchos swept the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match, 25-17, 26-24, 25-17, on Wednesday.

Senior middle blocker Jason Agopian led UCI (3-8, 2-7 in conference) with 10 kills on 14 swings for a .500 hitting percentage.

Senior middle blocker Marty Ross had five kills on six swings (.833), while freshman setter Dante Chakravorti had 27 assists and David Parker had a team-best 11 digs.

UCI hit .081 as a team, 216 points worse than the Gauchos (9-5, 5-4).

UCI visits No. 2-ranked UCLA on Thursday at 7 p.m.
