OCC’s Lee named first-team all-conference

Orange Coast College sophomore Jamaal Lee has been named first-team All-Orange Empire Conference in men’s basketball.

Lee, a 6-foot-4 guard-forward, led the conference in rebounding at 12 per game, which ranked No. 3 in the state through the regular season.

Lee averaged 16.3 points, 4.2 assists and two steals per contest for the Pirates (10-16, 4-8 in conference).

Lee, bound for Vanguard University, was the only player to start all 26 OCC games.

Saddleback freshman TJ shorts was named Player of the Year and the Gauchos’ Andy Ground was Coach of the Year.
