Orange Coast 7, Santa Ana 3

SANTA ANA — Sophomores Travis Moniot and Eric Wagaman both hit home runs and Cameron Jabara improved to 5-1 in the Orange Empire Conference game on Thursday.

Moniot was three for four with two runs batted in. He now has four homers and 15 RBIs.

Wagaman hit his seventh dinger of the season and now has 21 RBIs.

Jabara, a Newport Harbor High product, allowed three hits and struck out five in six scoreless innings.

OCC, ranked No. 2 in Southern California, is 15-2, 2-0 in conference.

No. 3-ranked Santa Ana is 14-4, 0-2.

The two teams meet on Saturday at noon at OCC.

Saddleback 4, Golden West 1

MISSION VIEJO — The visiting Rustlers fell to 9-8, 1-1 in conference in the Orange Empire Conference game on Thursday.

Saddleback, ranked No. 1 in Southern California, avenged Tuesday’s loss to the Rustlers at Golden West.

The Gauchos are 13-5, 1-1.

The two teams meet on Saturday at noon at Golden West.
